Packed at Huntington

Wonderful crowd at the Huntington Library. Long line of people asking for autographed copies of the book.

Best request: A guy asked me to write this note to his girlfriend in the copy of the book her bought for her:

“As an expert, I can tell you that Bob is NOT annoying, You should say “yes” to his marriage proposal.”

OK, his name wasn’t Bob, but the rest is 100% true.

Halfalogue at Gate C-6

Normally, halfalogues don’t bug me all that much…but there’s a doozy here at the gate. A guy behind me with a raspy voice is talking about people he’s considering hiring. While I’m sort of curious to know what his company does, and what positions he’s hiring for, right now I wish he’d just stop talking.

He stopped.

No, there’s more. He said goodbye, but then he started up again. Now he’s talking about clearances…

Now he’s done. Really done. Phew.
